Suggest that your judgmental *friends* consult their dictionaries. For "Lesbian", definition 1 is "a homosexual woman". The definition of "homosexual" is "sexual desire or behavior directed toward a person or persons of one's own sex". *Expectations* notwithstanding, to be a "lesbian" does not require exclusive sexual desire or behavior toward one's own sex. You are free to love who you love and self-identify in terms consistent with our language. And if your *friends* are spun-up about it......well, it is their problem, not yours.
