I (purposely) LET MYSELF BE SCAMMED

When I was 16, and working in a mall, was approached by a gentleman in need of money. He had an elaborate story (of which I have long forgotten the details) where he was in a tight spot but had this valuable stone of appreciable value which he was willing to pawn to me for some money. It was like $20 if I remember correctly and he would be able alleviate his distress with the $20 and would then return to buy back the stone. I held the stone for him confidently, bolstered by the idea that I had just aided a fellow human being in need. I wrapped it in tissue and put it in my coin pocket for safe keeping. Several hours later The realization of his never returning turned my mood of satisfaction not into anger but into awe. The details of his story, each line used to hook me in, ran through my mind. It was beautiful. A work of art. The execution made easier by my age and good heartedness did not diminish its beauty.
I kept that stone in a memento box for years... looking at it with wry smile from time to time. That was the first time I was really conned after an age of understanding. Of course as a child we are all take at carnivals and fairs, but then we do not realize the machinations, we are fulfilled by the 25 cent toy after spending $10 of our parents money.
That is whe I began studying and admiring the con. I look at advertisements and offers now not as commercials but as a form of interactive performance art.
And the other day I spent 4 hours letting someone con me out of a $50 Google play card. I loved it. You may ask why would I give them money? I don't see it that way, I see it as paying for hours of interactive entertainment. i'd ask a question and they would answer it. They would make a request and I would reply with skepticism, and then acquiesce after their reassurance.
I even came in my pants just a little as it unfolded.
$50 well spent
It was truly beautiful. a fine masterpiece to behold

Yes, more or less scamming the scammers is often fun, and you are right, the entertainment value of the performance offered can be well worth it.

i just got scammed by a person on here for sex. UserName was ambersfire6969. She said she wanted to have sex with me and her husband was out of town for the month. We agreed on a hotel bc i couldn't host and she said it was safer bc it was in public. We met at the Carelton hotel parking lot in Oak Park and we walked to the atm so i could get cash out since she didn't want me to buy it bc she said it was safer if they have record of her name in case she goes missing bc she didnt trust me yet. I said that's ok and i gave her $72 and she said she was going to go inside and come back to the parking lot in 5 minutes. she never did. I asked her earlier how many guys shes been with and she said 3 and she barely meets them but now i believe she has scammed a lot of guys like that. I was dumb and should've known something but that was my first time i got scammed by a woman.

Hmmm... Interesting.
I've sat on all sides of the table and have played both hands. Although, I'm more likely to be the 'taker' as opposed to the 'giver'.
But, I can understand your point.
