Why I hate the word TRANSGENDER

Transgender is an idiotic umbrella term that includes every presentation, be it part time or not, That is outside of the gender assigned at birth. I could write a thesis on this, but a simple story gets the point across better.

It was the beginning of the month and I went to wal mart to get my scripts and do my one monthly shopping trip. I had been doing this for about a year and had befriended an assistant manager at the place, As usual, I was wearing an age appropriate dress and getting my chores done for the month. An assistant manager was always helpful and took care to inform me of any great specials and would open a lane so I didn't have to wait in an endless line.

I had done my shopping and the manager who had just helped me get a salmon special took me to a register to help me not have to wait in line forever. As he checked me out, a obvious fetish cross dresser came into the store. This person was wearing inappropriate clothing( school girl outfit) with rodeo clown make up, stupidly high platform heels and a 6 dollar costume wig. The goal was not shopping as it went down the teller line asking every employee and customer where the ladies room was.

My friend, the assistant manager, looked up at me and said, " Tori, that is your problem." " For every real girl like you I see here, I see ten like that just playing a game". " Your problem is, because of this, when people look at you, that's what they see"

 Agree. Unfortunately those are the ones that get the most press which in turn invokes the hate and disdain toward those of us who just want to blend in and go about our business. Stay safe all. Ciao.
