Windows down or AC in the summer while driving ?

So I do enjoy having the windows down on a nice day while driving around off the interstate. When I get on the interstate my speed goes up and so do my windows in the Jeep due to the wind noise.

So for the most part, I would say that I am a windows down while driving around. I like the fresh air.

What about you? What do you like? Why?

Oh, the car in the picture is a rental car I had when I was on business in Atlanta and drove over to Alabama. It’s a Mustang 5.0 and I tested most of the 5.0 out on the interstate. Really good acceleration and tight steering. I felt like I was in a rocket. It was a summer day and the windows were down.

I follow up question to all. What was your favorite rental car?

Here in South Louisiana, it's AC during the summer. Unless I'm in my Jeep and then it's either, depending on the situation, front panels off, doors off or completely naked.

I am like you on the highway, windows up in the country windows and sunroof open.

I too prefer windows down and avoid using the AC as much as I can. I also try to wear as little as I can when driving. No shirt, very short loose running shorts with no underwear. Sometimes pulled up to let all that I can hang out.

If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin."

I always behave. Preferably not well.

Always nice on a sunny day, great to get that fresh air on those back roads.

I use the AC as little as possible unless the humidity is such that its hard to breathe. The windows down....the sun roof open and the music blaring is good for me.

Fav rental car....a black Range Rover....it was very very cool.

Years ago was directed away from purchasing one due to the prohibitive costs to repair then. Might be better now tho, since there are more on the road.

Sounds almost like clothing optional

I do enjoy having the windows down. It makes me feel more connected to the area that I am driving through. The car was one of my favorite rental cars. A 5.0 (rocket sled) Mustang.

Summer is 100+ degrees where I live so always A/C in the daytime, always. I used to have an old, old car with failed A/C and driving without A/C was a horrendous experience. For me summer != "nice days". So now that I have a newer car with working A/C, I use it constantly.

Sometimes, the summer nights here cool down to "balmy". At those times, I might roll down the windows instead of turning the A/C on. But in the daytime, I'm more likely to drive with open windows in late fall, early spring, or winter.
