Afternoon All.

Just kind of curious . Do people meet on here ? Are there group socials that people can attend and get to know each other ?

Don't really know how it works .

Be good if some of you can let me know .

 Yes they meet.
Either one to one or via social group gatherings. Group membership has fallen dramatically the last years though.
Search groups either locally or by subject.
Expect nothing so anything else will be a bonus, lol.

 I met in a group a couple times a long time ago...it was good to put faces to usernames...we met in a pub central to all.

 It was a lot of fun. Some great people. The sites not the same anymore though. Too many fakes and scammers. Which is a shame. I left for a few years and when i came back everyone seemed to have left. We used to have our own little group on here. The group funnily enough is still here but no one is around anymore. We used put different topics on and everyone would comment. It was a way to get a feel for people. Hope this helps

I guess what I was trying to say back then was that it's really hard to have a social scene (either online or in person) using this site anymore, with the exception of people that invest heavily in gold memberships.

The problem that some of those folks have, though, is that there's very little that the site offers gold members any longer, at least compared to the "pre-sale" days.

So, even though this place used to be a great forum for what you're looking for, the way it works now isn't really that good for such things. It's pretty good, I guess, for long-time paying customers to use to build one-on-one connections, but the days of community gatherings are over, sadly.
