FRIDAY FOOTBALL (results postponed) I will not be posting any results from the game as the boy will not be participating in tonight's contest. I will post the outcome of the game for those keeping score. Last Friday evening the boy and I lost someone very close to us. My 24-year old nephew was involved in a fatal vehicular accident. He was alone in the vehicle and from preliminary reports, he simply lost control of the vehicle. This amazing young man had life by the tail and was always swinging it around. He was always the first to offer you a smile when you didn't have one, always there with a hug and to say "I love you", He was so much to so many. He was on the verge of starting his 3rd year of college to earn his masters. He will be missed by us, his family and the multitude of people who's lives he has touched. Due to this tragedy we have spent a lot of time with my sister and her family resulting in the boy missing several days of practice and is unable to suit up for tonight's game. Next week will be the first Charger home game and the boy will be on the field to honor his memory. Services will be held sometime early next week. 1984 - 2008 .
