I had always been a gold member until the Ice Breaker program ended, but now I'm no longer looking to meet with anyone so it really isn't a big deal to be a standard member unable to view profiles or chat without it costing . Which brings me to my point: Why do members with no profile picture chat requests to standard members? Seriously, why, even if I was looking to possibly meet with the right person, why would I want to spend to answer a chat request from some faceless stranger? I guess the answer is you never know. No wonder guys are always asking if anyone has had any luck here. The no profile pic requesting to chat with a standard member would need a whole lot of luck to be successful.

often multitasking when on this site and don't always see requests when they are first sent. Sometimes the sender is offline by the time I can reply, other times it appears they are online but just don't respond to my reply.
So how long should you wait? I often see some go offline immediate after sending a request to . Do you wait all, or do you have a limit?

Post Vaccine, what will change?

I was fortunate enough receive my 1st of 2 Covid vaccine injections this past week. The second one is scheduled for a few weeks from now. At least for me it feels like this long period of uncertainty is winding down. I figure it will not be until at least a couple weeks after the second injection when I will consider lowering my guard as far as Covid goes. I will of course continue wear a mask and follow other required guidelines in the public setting, however I'm thinking the biggest change will come in my personal life, such as visiting friends and family. Perhaps even fly somewhere for a visit or vacation.

I was given a CDC vaccination card documenting my receiving the vaccine, so I'm assuming as others receive their vaccination they too will receive proof. Chances are it will be a slow process before all or most receive their vaccination.

I know it is a huge relief for me to have received the vaccine. I expect my 2021 to return to something resembling normal. Have you given any thought to how you will proceed knowing the vaccine is or will soon be available to you?

I received a nice email from a gentleman here today. He was just dropping a note to say hi and how he viewed my profile. I believe it was Zig Ziglar who said never give up until you have heard no at least 3 times. I receive lots of requests to meet and therefore say no thanks frequently. For this question, my reason for saying no is irrelevant. I get all sorts of responses after saying no; some saying their loss, some saying my loss, some begging me to meet. The list goes on. What I would like to know is how many no's does it take for you to say ok and move on? In the comment section maybe mention your success rate for not giving up should that be the case.
1 no and I'm out of there.

Personally I don't see any reason to dramatically show ones age different than the actual age other than maybe being discreet as to hide one's identity. But dang, some of the age ranges people put out there. Recently when I told a 24 year old profile I preferred others closer to my age, he quickly told me he was actually 42. That's a whopping 18 year spread. Another case is a man who appeared he could be my father said he was my age. My guess is most age liars subtract on the average 10 years off of their actual age.
So do you lie about your age and by how much? What about some of the stories you've been told in regards to false ages given.
