I am a huge fan of the Minions. They are a rare opportunity for a chuckle. We don't even have to act like adults when we see them . Yesterday, I visited [blog LadyLeo1949] post yesterday [post 3694134] and she had included several images of the minions and it brightened my afternoon up. So here we go, a bit of minion mania. Time to get greased up. I mean the baking pans of course . I am going to a Gender Reveal party. I have to confess that I had never heard of such a thing. I guess it is taking the place of a Baby shower? Well, I have been elected to make a couple pans of corn bread. One will have jalapeño peppers and the other will be plain cornbread. Do you have a specialty that you take to parties? Maybe it is your signature party food? Of course , as always any help would be appreciated

Today is the 14th Anniversary of a Day that will live in infamy for our generation. It is so difficult to think it has been that long since the cowardly attack by Terrorists against Two locations here in the United States and the thwarting of a third attack by the passengers of an airliner at the cost of their lives. We now have teenagers that were not born at the time of these attacks. My eldest Godson was actually born 13 days after this happened. This generation has no concept of what things were like pre 9/11. For me the decade after 9/11 was the most intense of my military career and personal life, with heart ache, loss of dear friends, ultimately a divorce and it changed me more than anything else in my life. I can no longer watch the Anniversary coverage on TV, it just brings back so many memories and feelings. I think it is important to remember the victims, and the Police, Fireman and others that ran towards the “troubles” while prudent people tried to escape. Unfortunately many of them paid for that dedication with their lives. Of the 2,977 people killed in the September 11 attacks, 414 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center. This included:
341 firefighters and 2 paramedics from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY);
37 police officers from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD);
23 police officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD);
8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics from private hospital units dispatched through the 911 system, as well as commercial ambulance groups brought in under "mutual aid" for this disaster ;
3 New York State Court Officers
Let us take some time, no matter your country of origin and remember these brave souls and pass their legend on to our children. And never forget the innocents that died that day.

What are some great moments in your life? Could be your personal life, maybe in a global sense? I think I am fortunate, there have been several for me. The first is the birth of my son and daughter. Wow, what a change in life that was and is. Many years later was the births of My Godsons. About three years ago, their Grand Mother, who was my neighbor, dear friend and almost a "co-mother" of my children passed away following a surgery. She was the before school and after school care taker of my Godsons (their Grand Mother). Prior to her surgery, she asked that if anything happened, that I help care for "her babies", which I agreed to. So now, I have the great pleasure and honor of being a before school and after school "nanny" .. There are several others, but these seem to be my highlights.

There should be a quota . A minimum daily acceptable number of smiles and hugs. Well at least smiles. So many times each day, I am brightened by someone's smile. I may be silly, but it does really , for that nano second connect me to someone special. Do you smile, say good morning, hello , etc? Do you enjoy seeing a smile? And a hug, as appropriate of course. I have been thinking. Why is our clothing is so constricting? Although I have never experienced it, I have heard women describe the occasional discomfort when wearing bras. Guys also can have discomfort if they make a mistake and purchase either the wrong style (for them) or size underwear. Have you every experienced the discomfort of restrictive clothing? Or seen some one in obvious distress? Do you have any solutions to this issue? Or must we just suck it up and deal with it?

I am a hands on type of guy, especially when it comes to pampering my partner. Do you enjoy pampering your partner? How about being pampered yourself? I think it can take so many forms. a hug, a massage, a soak in the tub. What do you do enjoy? It can be naughty or nice, but the goal is making your partner and by extension you happy.

We are about to start the final big weekend of summer. Labor Day weekend. For most of us it is the unofficial end of the summer season. Some flock to a beach, if it is close enough, picnic, frolic ( I like frolicking ) in the fields. For my neighborhood, it has always been a tradition to complete one last project. I am wondering if that was always the women's idea. Typically all the guys pitch in to do one project for one of us. This year it will be repairing a portion of a side walk for one of them. I can always use some help.What are your plans? What would you like to do? If you do not have labor Day where you are, what are your weekend plans?

Would you believe it? I woke up and from some reason just felt flirty and wanting to tease.. Have you ever had that feeling?
