Good to Be State-side Again

No doubt you've noticed, was gone for past 10 days, but is good to be state-side again.
Nice to travel first class, a pleasant perk, by-passing red tape at airports. High class accommodations in the best resorts/hotels. As long as my terms are followed, work is good in these dangerous times.
Even got a special treat on return trip, landed in Las Vegas to unwind.

Was wondering to myself why some find it difficult to believe that I'm a grumpy, quiet loner-hermit. Do most of you think I'm actually a party happy, smiling n laughing, friendly guy with a pleasant personality.....like on here at the blogs? All gooey n sweet on the inside? LOL!!!
Truly, I'm the least friendly person in real life, almost never smile or laugh, don't talk to most people, don't like intrusions into my "hermit world". Hate crowds, distrust repairmen coming to house, don't like overly friendly nosey neighbors, and don't feel a need to "socialize". Have severe trust issues, noting that most people I have dealt with are NOT to be trusted, are most certainly NOT decent. So, I keep my walls up, always. Have seen the horror in real life that "normal" people can do in bad times, and the worst that bad, deceitful can people do, so my guard is always up.
Have learned that bad things can happen in an instant, so am always looking for escape routes, cover......the people around me. Some training you never forget, some you wish you could.
Just the way I've come to be and had to be at times, am comfortable with it.

Difficult Past Weeks at Work

Work was more difficult than I like past 2 weeks!
Not only was it a holiday week, inventory due the 4th (yea, that's stupid!), and to top it off, bakery manager hurt her back. So, she was off for all of this.
Not only did I have to cover her shifts/duties, had to bake for the holiday. Ended up working 13 days straight, several double shifts, and doing inventory. Never have done inventory for this company, so was a struggle to get done. Store director helped some with computer work, I did the counting and extensions.
Glad that's done! But, made it through it OK.
Sorry for being missing!

He does talk pleasantly to customers, but does keep a watchful eye on them.
No one visits him at home, which is fine with him. He hates crowds, events or gatherings, feels vulnerable, not in control of the situation.
Always, always sits facing the door/entrance! Parks so he see his truck at all times.
Almost never smiles, laughs or jokes at work....OK, or home.
Took years of knowing his lady before they got together.
Just the way he is, from the past, from training and loss of trust in mankind.
