Présentation
They say that bad choices make good stories Hello. Thanks for stopping by to read my profile. I am looking for an older companion for a long term relationship on this adventure called "life". This year I am offering a barely used 54 year old with little wear, no real baggage, and loads of potential. I play well with others, but have been known to run with scissors. I am shy, and the fact that anyone can see this posting is quite daunting but finding a companion is too important to foul up, and this site offers almost unimaginable possibilities for meeting the perfect companion. I am single, 54, tall but chubby. Never had a drivers licence so I can't be your taxi driver, but I can be your navigator. Thanks to my public library I have loads of useless information, and opinions, to bore you with on those long car and bus rides. On the bright side, I love to make people laugh, I am healthy, gainfully employed, and am at an interesting point in my life and career. However, I feel that there is something missing, and it may be "you". For some time I have felt like I was missing out on something by not having a companion, not to complete me, but to add that certain spice to things. I am at a point in my life where I find that I have the confidence to search for that perfect partner, and thanks to the internet, finding Him has suddenly become a real possibility. I enjoy building and painting plastic models of armoured fighting vehicles (tanks and personnel carriers), aircraft, and even spacecraft from science fiction movies. Ideally, you will share this interest, and you will already know the difference between a Sten and a Bren, a Sherman and a Firefly, and a Hawker Typhoon and a Hawker Hurricane. A steady hand with a small paint brush would be an asset. No, that's not kink. My musical tastes include: Roger Waters, Blue Oyster Cult, Alan Parsons,Alice Cooper, Guns & Roses, Rocky Horror Picture Show sound track, Sisters of Mercy, Pet Shop Boys, Cheap trick, Rush, The Box, Gowan, Styx. I have read many great books over my life, but I believe that the best books that I have ever read are as follows: - V For Vendetta - Watchmen - Batman Year One Yes, my favourite books are comic books. Don't judge these stories by the movies though. V For Vendetta was "dumbed down" for mass audiences. Watchmen is such a complex story that the movie was actually a valiant attempt to translate a symmetrical picture story into a motion picture. The author of both stories is Alan Moore, and if you are not familiar with his work you are missing something special. Batman ? We are still waiting for a proper Batman movie. Heath Ledger really did an excellent Joker in the last movie though. In my opinion, the "Best" motion pictures ever made are (not necessarily in order): -The "original" Planet of the Apes (Charlton Heston - and he's pretty pissed off) -Kelly"s Heroes (Oddball and his crew rock ! Real Shermans and fake Tiger tanks bulldozing real buildings in the old Yugoslavia.) -The "first" Terminator movie (What a ride!) -It"s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (Jonathan Winters, Jim Bacus, Spencer Tracy and a race to find the "Big W".) -Monty Python and the Holy Grail ("Look at the bones !" If you did not like this movie we are unlikely to be compatible. It's true. -HellBoy 1 and 2 (the Director is amazing and should be paid vast amounts of money to make a Doctor Strange movie. Please.) -The Lord of the Rings trilogy (Much better than I had ever hoped, or even imagined when I devoured the books in grade five.) -The Party (Peter Sellers) - In my opinion, the "Best" television shows ever made are (not necessarily in order): -South Park (Brilliant and quite brave.) -Original" Star Trek (The revised ones with better models and special effects are very cool) -WKRP in Cincinatti - ("I thought Turkeys could fly." -Batman (Frank Gorshin's Riddler, and Burgess Meredith's Penguin are classics) Thanks for reading my profile. Have a great day and I look forward to hearing from you. Robert

Ma personne idéale : Our First Date
I'd appreciate/expect a picture before we arrange any meeting. I understand that you may be shy, but it's only fair. It's 2017, and I am serious about finding a companion. You should be too. Our personal lives are much too important to screw around with. We could meet at a coffee shop to meet face to face and see just how accurate (and honest) each other's profile's were. : )
It's been great weather, and we could find a nice spot outside to sit down and chat. There is no shortage of coffee shops in Sudbury. This may be the first date/job interview that either of us has had in a while, and I'm sure that it can be awkward. Introducing ourselves over a coffee or two sounds reasonable, and we have a couple of years worth of information to recount. Afterwards, depending on how it goes, we could arrange another date, dinner, or perhaps even the rest of our lives. Scary isn't it ? Don't worry, with you at my side how can we fail ?

I have read a few ideas for "first dates" on these sites. The dinner, a movie, then drinks" plan seems to be the most common (and extravagant). Basically, the meal is your chance for the initial interview. The movie is to give you both something in common to speak about at the bar later. Seems like a good plan until real life economics interrupts. I don't want to buy you an over priced meal, and then sit next to you in a darkened theatre where we can't talk without disturbing other people (that are probably dating too), and then go to a noisy bar where we can't hear what each other is saying anyhow. Meeting you at a coffee shop seems much more reasonable.
